Changes to Pre-Removal Risk Assessments for Belarus

Certain individuals from Belarus can now apply for a pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) if they received a final negative decision from the Immigration and Refugee Board or Federal Court, or a final PRRA decision from IRCC, between February 20^th, 2020 and February 19^th, 2021. The ordinary one-year waiting period for a PRRA does not apply to persons in this category. The Canada Border Services Agency will advise eligible individuals from Belarus of their PRRA eligibility before taking action to remove such individuals from Canada.
